National Service Scheme
"Not Me, But You."
The National Service Scheme (NSS) plays a crucial role in colleges by nurturing a sense of social responsibility, leadership, and community engagement among students. It helps them develop skills such as teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities while promoting civic awareness through activities like cleanliness drives, literacy programs, and environmental conservation. NSS also bridges the gap between students and society, encouraging them to address societal challenges and contribute to nation-building.
Kabikankan Mukundaram Mahavidyalaya has two active NSS units, led by Program Officers Rajib Roy and Achintya Kumar Bag, which play a pivotal role in instilling a spirit of community service and social responsibility among students. The NSS units organize a range of extension activities, including blood donation camps, tree plantation drives, and cleanliness campaigns under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Through these activities, the NSS units contribute to both individual development and community welfare, helping to develop leadership skills and teamwork among student volunteers.
