About the Department
The Department of Philosophy at Kabikankan Mukundaram Mahavidyalaya embodies the essence of critical thinking and ethical inquiry. Rooted in the intellectually rich environment of a region the department strives to uphold the region's legacy of philosophical thought and reformist ideas.
The department offers 3-year major course in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Under the guidance of its diligent and dedicated faculty member, the department provides students with a strong foundation in both Indian and Western philosophical traditions.
The department employs student-centric teaching methods, including seminars, group discussions, and interactive learning sessions, which actively engage students in the exploration of philosophical concepts. The annual wall magazine, PROMA, serves as a creative platform for students to express their ideas, interpretations, and research, further nurturing their intellectual growth.
The Department of Philosophy continues to create an enriching academic environment.
