Kabikankan Mukundaram Mahavidyalaya is recognised by Higher Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal vide order no: 517-Edn(CS)/4C-2/07, dated the 28th day of May, 2007 and thereafter on this basis The University of Burdwan also extended its permanent affiliation vide its memo no:IC/Affln./P/140/323, dated the 23th day of August, 2013. The college is also recognized under section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, Govt. of India bearing file no: 8-128/2016(CPP-I/C) dated 08.07.2016 for conducting different Under Graduate Programmes.
